Growing professional services technology consulting firm specializing in web and mobile application development and cloud-based implementations is currently seeking an Accounting and Billing Manager who is tech-savvy and has experience working for a professional services firm (i.e., IT, Legal, Accounting) where monitoring staff consulting time is a key element of the business. You will be responsible for all aspects of assisting in the day-to-day accounting operations for the office and closing the financials at month end.
This position will partner with Business Operations, Account Management, and Senior Management. The ideal candidate needs to be a team player and must possess the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and activities in a fast-paced, exciting environment.
We have a diverse group of clients (i.e., healthcare, technology, higher education, manufacturing, retail, engineering services, cargo and shipping, media, food/catering, and financial).


  • Monitor billable time, track against project budgets, and generate accurate client invoices from firm’s billable time.
  • Work with Project Managers on project budgets and expended hours.
  • Routinely report project financials and status to Senior Management
  • Manage QuickBooks financials (month end closing), transactions and other accounting duties (AR, AP, Deposits and Bank & Credit Card Reconciliations, Expense Reports/Reimbursements, Invoicing and Collections, potentially in-house Payroll.)
  • Support Operations Management Team with other functions up to and including: financial analysis and reporting, and monitoring contract budgets
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Education and Required Experience:

  • BS/BA or equivalent
  • 3+ years of relevant experienc
  • Previous experience as an accountant/bookkeeper
  • Past experience using QuickBooks software required
  • Accounting (AP, AR Bank Reconciliations, Invoicing, etc.)
  • Excellent personal credit history (credit and background check required)
  • Proficiency with Mac or Windows, Microsoft Office (specifically MS Word and MS Excel)
  • Self starter with excellent follow through, initiative, and ability to work independently
