Steve Simpson

Founder, President and Chief Technology Officer

Drawing on 25 years of experience in the software industry, Steve leads Ethos Solutions with extensive expertise in enterprise-level software engineering, architecture, and technical leadership.

Before founding Ethos Solutions in 2006, he led numerous projects, both in the United States and Europe, for Fortune 500 clients such as Merrill Lynch, Renault, BMW, Toyota, Pacific Bell, Wellpoint, Kaiser, Genentech, Amgen, PG&E, and 20th Century Fox. Steve has successfully designed, developed, and deployed mission critical applications across a multitude of industries and technologies. His projects include cloud development (Salesforce, Heroku, AWS, Azure), mobile (IOS and Android), IOT (award winning solutions), IT infrastructure, disaster planning, technical security and application development. Additionally, he has been a presenter and speaker at multiple technical conferences.

It is this breadth and depth of experience that has enabled him to translate his original vision of a professional services company into what Ethos Solutions is today. In his leadership role, Steve serves primarily as Chief Architect with technical oversight of all engagements. He is a Salesforce certified professional with ten years of platform experience.

Steve recently served as CTO of BMS Practice Solutions, a provider of physical therapy EMR, billing, and practice management solutions.

Maria Simpson

Vice President of Client Services

With her unwavering passion for excellence and roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, Maria serves as the Vice President of Client Services and Business Operations. She brings over twenty years of corporate management experience with seven of them in professional services and application development. Maria is passionate about understanding client needs, delivering solutions to meet those needs, and helping organizations succeed with adoption and roll out of their cloud implementations. She guides everyday operations to ensure that client expectations are met without losing sight of the company’s strategic objectives.

Maria joined Ethos Solutions in its early years and has made a significant impact in all facets of the business, leaving an indelible mark. In fact, she has greatly contributed to the company’s steady growth and reputation as a reliable and trustworthy consulting partner. Her leadership role encompasses all areas of operations, including client engagement, project oversight and delivery, business development, operations management, contracts, and marketing. She leads the project management team and has been instrumental to the company’s excellent track record of successful project deliveries using software development life cycle process and methodologies.

Maria had a long and highly successful career with Merck & Co., Inc. She brings diverse experiences in pharmaceutical sales, sales management, and operations management. As Associate Director, Maria worked closely with senior sales management for national business units, while her team of analysts provided decision analysis and strategic planning for executive management and regional markets. She managed an annual budget of $100+MM and provided leadership and oversight of national initiatives and business processes. She brings a depth of experience in utilizing technology to monitor business analytics, data modeling, and regression analysis.

George Santora

Vice President of Operations and Finance

George brings with him over 30 years of accounting, operations, and financial expertise that spans the hospitality and real estate development industry as well as capital market and private equity firms. He established his career with a strong education, earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Boston College and earned his MBA from Western International University.

Prior to joining the Ethos, LLC, George most recently served CFO of Beechwood Development Co., Beechwood Hotel Group, and Beechwood Financial where he was responsible for overall operations of the companies including 7 hotels, real estate assets, and 2 new built hotel projects that were underway. He developed, built, and opened a Hampton Inn and was responsible for 2 other hotels projects in different stages of completion. Before Beechwood, he was the Deputy Treasurer for the Salt River Pima Indian Community including being a board member overseeing the enterprises owned by the government, which included the Talking Stick Resort and Casino, Casino Arizona, Talking Stick Golf Club, Salt River Deco (the development company), Sal River Fields at Talking Stick (MLB Spring Training Facility for the Arizona Diamond Back and Colorado Rockies) as well as the overall taxation for the SRPMIC.

While at GE Capital, George was responsible for a $200 million real estate portfolio with comprehensive financial modeling and analysis. Before GE, he was the Chief Financial Officer for Atrium Holdings, a successful private equity REIT with approximately $2 billion in assets which owned 43 branded hotels, Diamond's Casino, a golf course and subsidiary companies. He was responsible for the company's finance, accounting, treasury, budgeting, tax, development, human resources, IT and capital markets for this start-up REIT.

George started his career with Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide holding held senior level positions and oversight of the accounting and finance functions. During his Starwood career, he was Regional Vice President of Finance for Eastern US, Canada and USVI with responsibility for 96 domestic and international hotels. In addition, he was the Regional Director of Finance, Area Director of Finance and Director of Finance including the Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona and for Starwood's hotels in the State of Texas. Prior to the acquisition of ITT Sheraton and Westin Hotels & Resorts by Starwood, he held several senior level positions for several large hotels for ITT Sheraton including the Sheraton Washington Hotel, the Sheraton New Orleans, the Sheraton Premiere, and the Sheraton El Conquistador Resort.

George is an avid Boston sports fan, enjoys working out, hiking, golfing and cooking as well.
